I'm holding Baby Silas. Such a cutie. You have to stick your finger in his mouth so he thinks he's eating. Beware! he might figure out that no milk is coming out.

Silas is falling asleep because that is what he did for an entire nine months- fall asleep between Emmett and me.

Woke up today, took Mac and Emmett to school. Came home and took some pics of Baby Silas. Then as I looked around I realized that there are a lot of things that go with a newborn...



Then I realized the most important tool/accoutrement/aid is the following....



Then we took Silas to the doctor. He looked a little yellow (jaundice?), but the Doctor said he was fine.

That rectal thermometer looked bad to me..... Silas was unimpressed.

Well, Day three of Silas Loyal's existence had some milestones. He had his first ride in the sling, Mama filled out his baby book and most importantly....

















he agreed with his father that a black 1971 Ford Torino GT is the best car on Earth.





















We are waiting for Nana to come home with Mac and Emmett. Carlie took the big kids to the zoo after a half-day at school.

SILAS LOYAL DREYER

On Monday October 9th Annie woke me at 0430 in the morning (without coffee in hand) and told me we might have to go to the hospital. I asked her how apart far the contractions were. She told me, "three minutes." and off we were to the hospital....

We arrived at the hospital at 0530.










At 0928 Silas Loyal Dreyer was born. he weighed 7lbs 14 oz and is 21 inches long
