Our boy has broken his arm. He fell off the jungle gym not once but 3 times in the past week.
Luckily it's not too painful and he'll only have the cast for 4-6 weeks. Silas really likes his cast
so far and is having everyone sign it with his new silver pen.
Silas would also like you to know a little about Venus. Did you know that Venus' day is longer than a year because it rotates so slowly. And that it is often called "The Beautiful Planet with A Deadly Atmosphere"? Also, it's mountains are up to 5 miles high!
Since you couldn't be at his school presentation, he thought you should know!

Silas! I really like your purple cast! Purple is one of my very favorite colors, and I think it is a very very cool color. Especially with silver pen! Good choice!
Do you think you can Skype me and Crys around 4:30 San Diego time to show it to us!? Crys will be on her dinner break then, and we would love to see it and talk to you! Could you tell us about Venus too? :) Love you so much!! - Meg
Venus is cool, Silas! I'm sorry you broke your arm. If it's still on when you come here we could sign it for you. - Finley
I dig purple arms and Venus. - Auntie Cam
Sending you big kisses for that BIG boo boo. XXXXX
Hey Silas,
Did you see Venus tracked between the sun and the earth yesterday? Too rainy in Rhode Island for us to see it 'live' but cool to witness the photos. Great report! Good luck with the arm!
